In the northern eastern mountains lie the Spine of the Worldbringer, also known as the
Dragonspine Mountains. It is said that here, the Worldbringer did lie for her final rest. This is not said by the people of the
Kingdom of Elba, not for a very long time. To admit that the Worldbringer rested in the heart of their Kingdom, giving rise to her children the Dragons, would be to admit the hubris behind their historical attempts to hunt the Dragons to extinction.
In the northwestern mountains and tundras lie the
Kingdom of Hirkonat, and the
Kingdom of Drys. It is here that the Blacksmith Diety made his home in ancient times, using the caldera of
Vamcirine as his forge.
They say that the
Soushard Coast is the place all souls lost at sea come ashore again. It is forbidden to disturb the small blue crystals that sometimes wash ashore along the beaches and cliffs of that coastline, as they are
Soulshards and contain the souls of those who perished by sea. Of course, what is forbidden to be disturbed often is, and that is the theory behind how the barren wasteland known as the Soushard Badlands blocking
Sostherime from the rest of the coastland came to be.
Torume is the central most country on
Ostencia and it is mostly a farmland, with a central swamp. The
Mana Mire is the secret home of
Mana's Rest the last known location of
Mana. The heart of Torume lies in keeping Mana's rest a secret. Mana wishes to not be disturbed, she deserves her rest.
The leading theory goes, to own the
Sea of Mana is to own the world. All rivers flow from the Sea of Mana to the oceans, passing every major settlement on the continent. Travel by river is by far the fastest way besides
airship to get anywhere. This is why all territory east of the Sea, and most territory west of it is disputed.
It's said that the All-Mother gave rise to the Elves. That they all originally came from the woods of
Mystivental. The truth is that they've existed so long, that myth is the only original story they have remaining from the time before their people had writing, and it does not speak of
all Elves, only the Elves of the misty woods.
The
Zurani Coastlands is home to the
Zurani Collective. Not much is known about the origins of the
Zurani but their own records claim they came from space, in a ship that crashed into what is now commonly known as the
Toxic Gulf, and they have survived here for millenia since, due to the technology to create a new ship and return home just not existing on this planet. However true that may be, the Zurani of Earth are a far cry from whatever or whoever their ancestors may have been due to their millenia of interbreeding with other earthlings.
