Alchemax

Alchemax is a technology and genetics research company based in New York, partially owned and operated by Oscorp. Though only founded recently in 2011, the company has been making big waves in the field of genetics, specifically in separating and merging different species of DNA.
The CEO Tiberius Stone is known for his revolutionary ideas in the field of science, and some of his work has caused controversy due to its dramatic basis in eugenics.

History

Alchemax was founded after Oscorp founder and CEO Norman Osborn realized that the needs of the genetic research branch of his company were growing past what Oscorp could provide. Not wanting to lose market share in this growing area of science, Norman sought extra funding from Oscorp's board of directors and other entrepreneurs like Wilson Fisk in 2010, and in 2011 officially formed Alchemax as a subsidiary of Oscorp.
Alchemax was specifically created to develop and research new technology and methods in the field of genetics. The company originally worked out of Oscorp's New York headquarters, but eventually got its own building erected in Manhattan in 2012. Tiberius Stone, Oscorp's head of genetic research, was named the CEO.
Alchemax started publicly presenting its research and development on eugenics and neogenics in 2014, which earned it equal praise and criticism from the scientific community. Many believe moving into cellular grafting and DNA modification is a mistake that could have grave consequences, but Stone has frequently dismissed these worries. In 2016, he was quoted as saying "our peers are merely annoyed that we are beating them in the race to perfecting eugenics."
Since 2017, the company has been fairly silent, and has dismissed all public requests for interviews. However, Norman Osborn has assured the public that "something big is on the horizon."
