Race - Drow

Overview

  Descendants of the long vanished Elven race, the Drow consider the universe theirs to do with as they please. They view Entropy as the ultimate force in the universe. Almost all Drow are violent and power-hungry. There is a strict hierarchy between Male and Female Drow, wherein Females are known as Matriarchs and Males are considered a slave-class.  

Hierarchy

  The Drow have three primary classes: Matriarch, Soldier, and Clergy. Matriarchs are simply Women. They will have an unspoken internal hierarchy based on respect and House. All Matriarchs are looked at as Parents or Deities by the Male classes and are the only persons in Drow society to hold any power.   On the polar opposite end of the scale, Clergy are male individuals who were born with negligible little to no Psionic power or natural skill. These individuals are literal slaves, receiving hardly enough to survive and being entirely reliant on their masters to do anything. These Clergy are often used as objects for the purposes of training Drow Matriarchs and Soldiers.   Soldiers are Male Drow born with any significant amount of Psionic Ability or a Clergy member who has shown some amount of skill in something naturally. Whereas Clergy represent a nearly endless sea of pawns, Soldiers represent an army of Knights, Rooks, and Bishops. These males are less dispensable, but still take orders from Matriarchs.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humaniform, sharp ears, different organ structure, skin ranging from grey to blue-black, though albino's tend to be much closer in color to pale skinned humans.

Genetics and Reproduction

Two common sexes used to reproduce. Mammalian gestation period of 4 weeks. Infants are birthed early in their gestation cycle, with signs of pregnancy rarely showing in mothers. Exo-uteral gestation takes place is a delicate fluid filled sack known as a Kezioque. In this, the fetal form matures over the course of two months, absorbing the nourishing fluids through the skin. At this point, the infant is tightly encased in the now mostly dry sack, forming a membrane around their bodies. The first step to infant-hood takes place in the Quiek - or First Strech, wherein the child rigidly stretches their legs from the fetal position for the first time, breaking the sack.

Growth Rate & Stages

After the Quiek, a Drow is meant to sink or swim. Learn quickly or die slowly.
