This race is the result of a Formian Eugenics Program. Though not a descendant of the Formians, they are a cousin race which was bred to be warriors. Though quite capable of combat themselves, the Formians use the Chitivore as Shock Troops in the rare invasion of planets. They have been building an army of Chitivore for quite some time with little purpose outside of leverage for their cold war with the Humanoid Coalition and defense of their forward worlds from Drow.
The Chitivore are a humanoid race themselves, possessing 2 arms, 2 legs, and a series of front-facing antennae. Though useful for sensing at a range, they are often surgically removed to prevent the individuals from relying on them or reacting to them. The few who keep these are advanced combatants, often who show increased intelligence. These individuals are rare and unlikely to stay in the Chitivore armies for long, instead being further bred for Eugenics or drafted into black-ops programs.

Reproduction takes place through a central Queen. This Queen is chosen by the Hive, as are the Kings.

Larvae mature into Pupa over 6 weeks. They become adults after 12 weeks. They live as adults for approximately 25 years.
