The Foundation for Traditional Wellness

The Foundation for Traditional Wellness, or the FTW, is a religiously-driven political organization in StarSet that has a controlling influence over its government and people. They espouse what they claim are traditional beliefs of structures of family and society - claiming the patriarchal structure to be more natural and traditional, and that the control of the patriarch should be absolute, such as those beliefs that were handed down from the stars.

Divine Origins

The Foundation for Traditional Wellness was founded in 2043 by Victor Rzenek of the StarSet Kingdom, who at the time was disillusioned by the continued selection of females to be priestesses for the StarSign religion, claiming it took them away from their natural place in the home serving their husbands.  This had come on the heels of a revolution in StarSet that saw an unliked royal family dethroned after the matriarch failed to get married and produce an heir, leading to a succession crisis that saw the monarch's head general take over the seat of the royal family.  Rzenek, one of the higher ranking military officials that could have grabbed at the throne, saw this as a sign that women should retreat from public life and became preaching this publicly, starting to gather pro-new royal family supporters, promising them more power that should have been due to them all along.

Political Influence & Intrigue

The Foundation for Traditional Wellness might have started as a fringe group speaking nonsense, but over the years they have gathered a meteoric rise in power among the leaders in the StarSet Kingdom.  They have their hands in almost all laws being written and judicial cases being handed down. They have pushed almost all women out of positions of power, even reducing the Jewel to a trophy to be handed out to their most loyal followers.
Critics of the FTW claim that their beliefs have no true basis in historical tradition, and they are essentially creating a multilevel marketing scheme of social order.  One of their main critics is the Shadow King who foresees this group becoming a problem for him if they manage to infect their ideals on the other kingdoms.
