Zekiel Kade
Zekiel Java Kade (a.k.a. Z.K./Zeekay)
Zekiel Kade, or "Z.K.", is an Elovisian from Craterhold. He is a former master mechanic with the Coalition Defense Forces, a salvager, and the original founder of Parasol Private Holdings.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
At his height, Zeekay technically has congential dwarfism. His hands are gnarly and darkened through years of tinkering with dieseltech devices of every description.

Upon coming of age, like many of his fellow Holdsmen who grew up during the War of Reunification, Z.K. joined the Coalition Defense Forces. While his small physical stature precluded him from joining the CDF in a combat role, his natural intelligence and unique affinity for all things mechanical made him a valuable addition to any tank or auto-trmor he was attached to. Zekiel met his best friend, Bixby "Bix" Hickory, during his service.
Once his initial term of service expired, Z.K. found himself sick of watching people who's vehicles and suits he repaired head off to the front - only to never come back. He eventually prevailed upon Bix to leave the armed forces and take up hazardous-condition salvage reclamation, using what each man had learned (Zekeil in mechanics and Bixby in dealing with unexploded ordinance) as relevant carreer skills. HCSR had the additional benefit of being exciting without being morally taxing; by doing this work, Z.K. and Bix hoped to bring closure to people who lost loved ones in the War while also helping the war effort - hopefully, without ever having to kill again. The pair employed the former Rostran civil airman Arxid Sagan for his marketing and information-gathering accumen - valuable skills in the HCSR economic meta) - gaining his retainer A'adekpf "Iodex" Sagan as 'part of the package.' This was the genesis of Parasol Private Holdings, a company which all four gentlemen continue to operate as of the year 10,000 AR.
Intellectual Characteristics
Z.K. is a savant when it comes to mechanical and electrical systems, with much of the PPH Canopy's cargo space being devoted to repaired or repurposed machinery pried from wreckage found elsewhere. If Arxid is the face, Bix the arms, Sisi the legs, and Iodex the strong back of Parasol Private Holdings, Z.K. is definitively the brain.

Motivation
Zekiel is, as Arxid is fond of calling him, a 'benificent soul.' While Z.K. is proud to have served with the CDF, he has always felt that the Manifold Sky would be a better place if the War could be brought to an expeditious close. Now, with the aid of Arxid, Z.K. seeks to help accelerate that peace through covert advocacy, engaging in a covert propaganda war against the Voxelian agressors while gathering the resources lost in the War for recycling and repurposing.
Vices & Personality flaws
Having seen enough violence for an entire lifetime during his service - despite not being directly on the front lines - Zekiel is extremely reticent to condone violence for any reason. While this is most often a high virtue, Z.K.'s strong empathy can sometimes lead him to inaction in situations where violence would be appropriate (i.e. self-defense). This is a liability in HCSR work, as violence is sometimes necessary to repel commerce raiders (i.e. Avarix Corps), local predators (i.e. Meantwigs) or other factions vying for control of a juicy bit salvage in otherwise lawless places.
While most Rostral breeze afficionados are content to consume the product in its finished form, Zekiel perfers to smoke the powdered mushroom component of the drug. This foul-smelling habit has made it difficult for the crew to operate in regions controlled by Petalcap Vale, as the Petalcap Vale Customs Authority regards the mushroom as contraband under both agricultural and narcotics regulations.
