The hundreth season

History

The hundreth season is a celebration made to celebrate a FrostBrand's maturity and expertise at their 25th birthday. Having reached a certain level of expertise in their domain and contributing greatly to the clan, this celebration is made to celebrate their accomplishment while also an opportunity for the celebrant to spend time with those that helped them grew and show appreciation.   Before the celebration, a one-week hunting expedition is made, where the celebrant, with the help of friends, will bring back a trophy as proof of their valor and courage to help the clan grow further. Once the task is done, a celebration occurs where they showcase their achievement, spend time with the clan celebrating, eating and drinking to their heart's content, and also can receive offers of marriage from other clan's bachelors if they haven't been yet, as they have reached the golden years for Frostbrands.

Execution

Most celebrations follows this pattern:
  •  The hunt (a week before the celebration official start)
  •  The First Night: The clan celebrates the hunt, and open with a feast with the freshest meals the season can provide.
  • The Second Night: After most participants enjoyed a part of the festivities, it is now considered a good time to develop inter-clan formalities and other meetings.  The dinner will celebrate the beast slaying with a short tale of the celebrant with the help of their assistant, and if said beast is good to consume, will be part of the feast. The menu will also include personnal preferences from the celebrant.
  • The closing night: As a way to celebrate the celebrant's event creating new routes and relationships, clans will announce new deals or marriages settled among each other, and also offers, with the local craftsmen and other friends of the celebrant, a gift to the host. The evening finishes with a dessert outside and a magical performance, usually fire prestidigitation. As the Frostbrands expanded trade and relationships with other ethnicities, the addition of fireworks became a very popular option in the most recent celebration.

Participants

As the celebration involves the whole celebrant's clan, most of the clan present at the settlement will participate and organise the tents for the festivities after their daily routine.   The celebrated person can bring around 4 assistants important to them to join in the hunt preceding the feast. The followers can assist the best they can their host into tracking the beast they want to hunt down, but must leave the killing blow to them as a matter of respect, unless they are in a too dangerous situation to risk so.   Over the case the celebrant swore an oath of peace, they are not expected to give the killing blow, but must assist their companion into vanquish a foe that could do harm to their clan, to show they take the safety of their clan to heart.   Depending on the foe's nature, craftsmen and butchers will take care of it and make something for the ceremony right after. For animals, they are usually making a feast plate along with items made from the animal's parts, like a bear fur cape, or climbing gloves amde with an ice worm's chitin.

Observance

The celebration on the clan's settlement being once the night reached it's darkest hour as the festivities will start in the common tent, but the hunt begins one week before. If the hunting party comes sooner, they will be allowed to rest until the celebrations.   The feast and celebration lengths three day. It is not uncommon to see multiple celebrations in a row, making it a great opportunity for clans to make it a context to make political and trades talks, and offer marriage propositions.
