The Mercury

"As Joseph and his companions crested the hill, they saw a spectacle ahead of them. On the plains laid out in front of them was the charred remnants of a large Gnoll war pack. The few survivors scattering as fire rained from the sky from the Airship over the field. As the survivors ran, twenty odd men rappelled from the ships and gave chase to the survivors."

An Airship developed by the Skyburner dwarves in 1800, the Mercury is a large flying vessel used as the headquarters and Flagship of the Skyburners. The vessel features a cannon and room for up to 500 men on it.

Propulsion

Mercury stays in the air due to an unknown power source located in the vessel that guides it on it's path.

Weapons & Armament

Mercury is equipped with one cannon on the front of the vessel, which fires a ball of fire that explodes on impact. The Ship also uses two mechanical crossbows on each side of the ship, capable of firing up to a mile away, but extremely slowly.

Armor and defense

The Mercury has a wooden hull reinforced with copper plating. The Ship rarely lands so land attacks are not thought of as an issue.

Communication Tools & Systems

The Mercury holds a post for keeping messenger falcons, which are sent between ships and the land cities.

Hangars & docked vessels

The Mercury holds room for up to 20 Valkyries in a hangar.
