Personal history

Rita Pvitslakka was born into a wealthy, traditional Earth Core family. She comes from a long line of respected architects and politicians, and her relatives are fond of claiming they built Weyra, the capital city of the Earth Core. Rita's great-grandfather on her mother's side, Caton Celtinift, was also the Earth Chiefmage. Her father, Harty, was a Head Advisor to the previous Chiefmage. Rita became a Chief Regulator for the Earth Core while her father was a Head Advisor, and was elected Chiefmage at forty-two, the youngest female Chiefmage the Earth Core's ever had.
Her family can trace their roots back to the Early Magi, the original speakers of Vexic and the early builders of Renga. Rita's family name, Pvitslakka, comes from Vexic, and both of her parents, as well as her grandparents and great-grandparents, speak the language as fluently as possible. Rita's full name, Ritanda, is an old Vexic word that roughly translates to 'swift and clear', and was often used to describe rivers. Rita's mother picked out the name. Rita's middle name, Hetsvidolian, is also a Vexic word. It's so old that its meaning has been lost to history, but Rita's mother, Daphie Celtinift, has the same middle name, as do all the women from her line of the family. Rita's brother and father are both named Harty, a translation of one of the Vexic words for scholarly, and her brother and great-grandfather are both named Caton, which is Vexic for strong-willed.
Rita had always had an interest in politics since she was young, and made it her mission to become the Chiefmage as she got older. This task was far easier for her to achieve than a poorer counterpart in the Earth Core, but Rita has not given this much thought. Her entire life, she's been showered in praise from her parents, her colleagues, even her teachers, that she's truly special and worthy of everything she has because she's worked for it, even when that isn't true.
She is well-liked by the wealthy Magi of the Earth Core, and disliked by the quiet middle class and poor folk in her community, although their voices are often smothered by the rich.

Education

The Pvitslakka's money paid for Rita and her siblings to attend the finest academy in Renga, the Multicultural Academy of Dara, in the Air Core. It was there that Rita studied and received a degree in Public Policy.

Employment

Rita never had to work until she wanted to, so her first job was a few years after she graduated from the academy, and she was elected nearly by a landslide to the position of Chief Regulator, mainly because her father was a Head Advisor to the Earth Chiefmage at the time.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Rita's accomplishments and achievements are not really her own, but the product of her family's success. Her personality is nothing remarkable and she doesn't work remarkably hard, but she's a safe, traditional position holder of Chiefmage, and is well-liked enough by the other Chiefmages.
It can be argued that Rita was successful in love, a long time ago, when she was still at the academy. She fell in love with an Air Mage named Nik Reftman,
