Blade of Masamune

A long single-edged blade, sometimes referred to simply as “Masamune”, it was forged by the first ever Elven smith, taught by the at the time most prominent of dwarven smiths. This blade was what started the alliance between the high elves and the dwarves, and it has been recorded multiple times in history where the wielder of the Blade has married a high-ranking member of the opposing faction as part of strengthening bonds, though it is not tradition. At times the Blade has rested for centuries in one nation, put on display as a national symbol.
The Blade of Masamune is a weapon built not for actual combat, but merely to be ceremonial. Its enchantments have dwindled since long, but it is always worked on by expert smiths every few years to keep its look pristine.
