Re: Significant Spike In Viral Cases We have been monitoring what we feel is a significant spike in a new viral strain, which we have classified as a novel virus. It has been named internally as PNDV-1. This strain thus far has been resistant to most antivirals, and is, frankly, difficult to put down. We are sequencing samples at present and we feel we may be able to get a handle on the genetics of the virus if we can avoid it spreading too quickly. There is no cause for alarm at this time, but we feel we would be prepared to take significant steps if this virus continues to spread. Dr. Thea Longstreet, PhD
