Hybrid
Hybrids are humans with other animal traits. They possess the ability to turn into their animal, the amount of flux necessary for this depending on the size of said animal. It is usually effortless for them to do so, although they do need to train for it. Hybrids have different origins depending on different cultures.
Mammals: Human ears replaced by animal ears. Presence of animal tail. Sometimes claws.
Avians: All hairs replaced by feathers. Sometimes talons.
Reptiles: Eyes replaced by reptilian eyes. Ability to control the presence of scales on their skin.
Amphibians: Lack of ears (only ear holes). Eyes replaced by amphibian eyes. Sometimes tail.
Fishes: Scally skin. Gills in addition to lungs. Presence of fins. Sometimes tail and/or headtail.
Insects: Lack of ears (only ear holes). Insectoid eyes, sometimes additional eyes. Presence of antenna. Ability to control the presence of chitin on their skin. Rarely, additional abdomen.
Agmār
It is documented that hybrids are the results of generations of humans using the flux to transform into animals to workship their animal gods. As such, the most common hybrids are of the 21 main gods, although regional minor gods also produced hybrids. Most hybridisations are dominant genes that are easily passed down to the next generation, although in some rare cases it can be recessive (toucan hybridisation, for example). In Agmār, traditionally, hybrids are more respected than humans, being seen as one step closer to the gods. This way of thinking is still subtilely engrained in their culture.Zersal
Hybridisation is most likely the result of trying to fit in with fauna already living underground and inside the mountain.Manifold Lands
It is believed that hybridisation started for some, as a necessity, for others, as a mean to explore the sea.Physical characteristics
Each hybridisation is different but the same animals show the same kind of traits. Here are general rules:
