Robert Phorcus

Robert Phorcii (a.k.a. The Innkeeper)

Robert Phorcus is the owner of The Black Phoenix in Cacester. He is a very overweight old man, that seems unintelligent and angry to most, but in reality, he has ties to The Guild of Cacester , and his own son even works for the guild, and has achieved the rank of Captain (Possibly with a little influential push from his father). The other son does not like what his father is doing, and lives a life of his own in Darioth. He is very unpopular amongst the Phorcii family, and the mere mention of him will usually make his father mad, and it will take many hours - and many beers- to calm him down again. He has always been an angry and rather obese man, and has never done an honest days work. As a kid, he would manipulate the others, and act as a sort of crime lord (though far more mild, obviously). When The Nine Years War of 1420-1429 came around, Robert was 23, and old enough to serve. He bribed the recruiter into not drafting him, and managed to stay out. The entirety of the unit from his area was wiped out, and he most likely would've died as well.   During the war, he received word that his childless uncle had died. His uncle, who lived in Cacester, owned an inn, and Robert had inherited it. He and his family ended up living there, at the Black Phoenix. during the rule of Queen Eleos , his business did very well, and that's when he allowed the Guild to use his inn as their headquarters.
