What about the profession is Illegal: The plant is known to create a highly psychoactive chemical that can cause large hallucinations in the user. The drug that is created is illegal even though some state that it has medicinal properties at low doses. The drug is harvested from the flowers of mature plants. 
Why did it become Illegal: Early in the years of the Ukari moving to Mt Vulmar a young Ukari Had eaten a large amount of the flowers and as a result had a massive hallucination. He ended up having an extremely large hallucination that ended in him stabbing multiple people in the market place. And died on the spot. Once the culprit for the hallucinations was found the Ukari Kingdoms immediately banned any and all consumption of the plant and made it a law to destroy any wild plants you may come across. 
What is the Raw Material in the Illegal Profession: The Mature Flower of the Vulgari Plant. 
What is the end product: The Flower of the Vulgari Plant is taken and boiled in water to make a tea, it can be dried and used in a sauna and heated over coals, it can be smoked out of long thin pipes after it has been thoroughly dried, it can be eaten raw although that route is not suggested as the chemical is most potent in its raw unchanged state. 
How is the profession covered up and hidden: Many farmers of the plant are farmers who have come upon a hard time and need spare money, or are addicted to the drug themselves. 
Is it illegal everywhere or only in a certain kingdom: As the flower is native to Zurrican and doesn't grow anywhere else it is generally only illegal in Zurrican. The drug has recently been seen popping up in other nations and some small kingdoms have begun to notice its presence and are acting accordingly. 
Punishments associated with the crime: As the drug is highly volatile and addictive anyone found with the drug is isolated for 2 weeks to remove the addiction. Anyone found selling and or growing the plant will lose any and all possessions including homes and be branded with the flower. A mark the signifies that they dealt in the drug forever shaming them in the community.    What benefits does this profession provide making it worth it for some people to risk the punishments: The Price for the drug has seen a huge increase as the drug has escaped Zurrican and began popping up in other nations. This recent surge in the spread has increased the demand and thus the value. Now more farmers are growing it than ever due to the increased profits.
