Magikon

(Temporary world name, since I only named the countries, but not the world itself) (Also sorry for my English, the story was originally planned out in Hungarian, I still have to find a good English name for everything.)   The planet, where Magikon is one of the many countries, is the home of magic. Every aspect of the world, be it an elemental power or something different (time, emotions, dreams, etc.), manifests itself in magic, but only one person at a time can possess the ability to use it, so when someone with magic dies, their magic can be used only by someone born after their death. These people are called a Mage. When a Mage is discovered (their power manifests at a young age, but there are cases when this happens in their late teens), they move to the Mage Center in Magikon and become the apprentice of an older Mage. After years of learning and training they get a rank. Mages are this world's special task force. They deal with incidents and crimes involving magic that would be too dangerous to anyone else. In the past they were also fighting in the first line during war between countries.   Mages are forbid to kill with their magic. Once a Mage's magic 'tastes' blood, it will always hunger for it, even if they are the kindest person ever known. These Mages are dangerous, their mind is clouded by bloodlust, and can attack even the own family. Many of them had to be locked away after a war. The Mage Center is still working on a sollution.   An interesting fact about these Mages driven by bloodlust, that they are all looking for someone called the 'Soul Mage'. They are obsessed with the thought that finding the Soul Mage can stop their hunger. The Mage Center of Magikon has no records about any Soul Mages during their history, so they have no idea where this thought came from.   An other interesting aspect of this world is its two moons. They have many names around the world, but in Magikon they are called Hina and Lona. One of them has a green, the other has a blue shine, and every 2500 years when the two moons overlap with each other above Magikon they exchange colors. This is called the Moonshift, celebrated all around the known world. This world's timeline is devided into eras according to the Moonshift. The first era started with the very first Moonshift in I.1. and ended in I.2500., after the second Moonshift the year was II.1. and so on. The story I'll focus on in my books starts in IV.2498. Most of the world's religions are connected to the two moons.
