Gargoyles

"The stone demonic figure was sitting on the balcony as the sun went down, and as soon as the moon's rays touched it, the stone on the slightly lanky figure began to crack and without warning, it exploded off, revealing the figure that was part of it. Clearly roused from a good nap, it flew off to find out what the nocturnal populous was up to, and maybe even bond with someone who liked a demonic figure like this.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The gargoyle species is known to look like demonic humanoids with either lanky or muscular figures, with wings, horns, and tails. Many people harken them as unholy, but they are more of a benevolent species.

Genetics and Reproduction

Gargoyles do not breed conventionally, instead, they require magic to breed with their own kind or other races. However, gargoyles are not shy about being depicted with visible sexual organs, usually sized a bit larger than most humanoids.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Gargoyles do not require anything to consume.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Gargoyles have the same capabilities as humanoids and demons combined, plus the ability of self-petrification when the sun comes up. However, some gargoyles are not gifted with this ability, making them capable of living amongst mortals.

Civilization and Culture

Common Dress Code

Gargoyles are either nudists or dressed in loincloths and rags. It is highly dependant on the gargoyle in question.

History

Gargoyles are typically found on top of Gothic architecture, as it reminds them very much of their homes in Europe, where they happen to originate. Some gargoyles, however, are not of European origin, and this obviously shows in their sculpture forms, if they have one.
