Magic of Earth

A world of magic unbeknownst to most humans. While not exactly an entire "world" per se, it is more of a community that runs alongside humans, though not always peacefully. Within it resides wizards, mages, shifters, elves, fairies, and many other mythical creatures. Some of which, unfortunately, have even gone extinct.   The creatures within the magic world, for the most part, live peacefully among themselves. Though possibly they are a bit too lenient and unwanting of change. Anything with a consciousness (whether human passing or otherwise) will tend to turn a blind eye when trouble starts to stir. This then leads to their greatest problem that has plagued them for nearly two hundred years: Altair Highmore. A powerful mage who wishes for control and to "free" his brethren from hiding.   It's either join him or die. At least in his eyes. But magical creatures are hard things to sway, and they would rather take the road commonly traveled.
