Lady of the Lake Nimue Vivian

Nimue was a Higher Fey who lived in Britain in the time between the fall of Rome and the anglo-saxon conquest of the Isles. She was one of the last people to hold the title "Lady of the Lake" and was a protector of Britain. In the middle 5th century CE, anglo-saxon invasions of Britain were becoming stronger and the local population had less and less chances of surviving. In response to that, Nimue took Excalibur, an ancient Fey sword, and gave it to Arthur, a Romano-British noble. In addition, she proclaimed him King of Britain and gave him a task of stopping the invasions.
