Forces of Nature

Forces of Nature are everywhere and every living being is bounded by them. The Forces regulate everything what happens in nature, including the weather and the changing of seasons. The exact nature of the Forces is unknown. Some say that they are a consciousness that encompasses the whole world. Other say that the Forces are the natural order of things. No matter the truth, the Forces created a number of avatars, known to humans as gods, responsible for different aspects of the world. Those avatars can have many different names. They usually have one name they use between each other and several other names used by members of different cultures around the world. For example, the avatar of the seas would be called Poseidon in Greece, Neptune in Rome or Aegir in Norse mythology.

Influencing the Forces

Forces of Nature can be influenced by people to produce a certain effect through rituals and use of certain objects. What is important is that the catalyst for the changes is belief. Rituals and use of objects alone are not enough to influence something as powerful as the Forces of Nature. Belief that the performed actions would bring a desired effect is what makes the change in the Forces possible. The more people participate in the action and believe, the higher are the chances of success. One of the actions aimed at influencing the forces may be when people make sure to have an umbrella with them when there is a risk of rain. Some people believe that having an umbrella would protect them from getting caught in the rain. They believe that if enough people would do that and believe in it protecting them, rain would not be able to come on that day.
