Coal District

The coal district is known for it's proficiency with metal works, merchants travel from far and wide to buy high quality metal and metal goods from Eldoron.

Industry & Trade

The ironworks make up most of the district, refining ore into pure iron ingots this immediately made the district known throughout the world. Blacksmiths in this district is also well known for their craftsmanship with both iron and steal, being what they are most proficient in. Brass, bronze and other metals are also worked in the district, but far less than iron and steel. The renowned high quality iron come from Red Rock a mining outpost owned by the Kingdom. The outpost got its' name due to the color and high iron content of the rocks mined from the mountainside.   The armour smiths in the coal district are highly regarded as the finest armour makers west of the Wildlands. They are best known for the intricate work put into the golden armour of the Royal Guard. The weapon smiths are not quite as well known throughout the world, but their blades do strike true. The conventional blacksmiths work on more high volume products such as tools, horseshoes, cutlery and arrow tips. Smaller metal objects are designated to the craftsmen of the coal district and trade district.   Silver and gold are transported to the trade district where goldsmiths and jewelers craft intricate designs for more wealthy citizens.

History

The coal district is the oldest artisan district, it has always been an essential of Eldoron. In the early days, weapons and armour for defending the city was necessary for survival in this newly settled region. Tools for farming crops were just as important, blacksmiths were among the richest citizens since demand for their work was at an all time high. As the human population adapted to the new environment, they grew fast in numbers and so grew the city too. The demand for even more metal works went up, this resulted in a bigger and more proficient coal district with improvements to the craft.
