Arcane Thread

Arcane thread can only be found in it's base web form near the huge spiders whom have been magicly corrupted. These spiders are only located in the Forsaken Lands which have been destroyed and alters by the God War. Magic abnormalities left over from the destructive fight wreaks havoc on the region and the creatures living there, altering some more than others.

Material Characteristics

The web has a very slight bluish tint to it and is very sticky. After the adhesive is removed the woven thread is quite blue and gives of an arcane shimmer.

Physical & Chemical Properties

The web is much much stronger compared to other type of thread like hemp or linen, not only due to being enchanted. After the web is woven it becomes even stronger and is very comfortable. This thread in itself is magically enchanted which makes it very easy to bestow new additional magical properties. This is why the thread is sort after by the magically adept, it is highly expensive too due to the rarity and difficulty retrieving in the first place.
The web is resistant to damage from most spells, this is also yet another reason it is so valuable, wearing this makes you almost absorb all damage from most harmful spells.

Geology & Geography

If you seek out the spider's whom create this web you are either foolish or very powerful. Not only do you have to cross parts of the Forsaken Lands, but also get away with collecting the web of these deadly spiders. Once the web is irritated you might meet a slow and painful death by a giant magically corrupted spider.
