The world is set in a fantasy world, where both modern technology such as TV's, but also more primitive technology exists such as horse-drawn carriages are normal, depending on the area. This gives the world a lot of variety and unique opportunities for character and community development.

Magical creatures and humans live parallel to each other where the knowledge of magical beings is not general knowledge available to the public. While non humans normally try to keep to their own settlements and societies, some have migrated to human society, settling down and blending in appearing as humans.
