The Creation of Girda

It has been said that the Eternal Spirit has always existed, and always in its two forms- the form of the Maker, the builder of all things in the world, and the form of the Breaker, the destroyer of all things in the world. For eons they existed in harmony, and over the course of an eon known now as the Eon of the Making, Girda was formed by both. The Maker raised land from the oceans, and put in the sky the Sun, to light the day, and the Moon and stars, to light the night. The Breaker played its part by lowering these lands and formed the four, perfectly straight and even sides of Girda. At last, Girda was created, and the Eon of the Making was ended.

However, this was only the beginning of Girda, as the Maker began populating Girda with millions of living beings, marking the beginning of the Dawn Eon. The Eternal Spirit soon ran into a problem after years of creating more creatures- space on Girda was running out. In order to solve this, the Maker created the Hall of the Dead below Girda, and the Breaker began taking the lives of those that had lived too long on Girda to the Hall. The Maker willed it that the Hall would expand forever, never running out of room. And thus, death was created.

After many thousands of years, the Eternal Spirit began to grow bored of its creation, and so the Final Creation was made- the creation of Man. Men, unlike all the other creatures of Girda, possessed a mind that was capable of rational and emotional thought, and thus they could begin advancing themselves into the first societies. And so began the Golden Eon.
