The many Suran colonies on Lissimo launch a series of rebellions in a cascade, following rising tensions over taxes and the withdrawal of the Suran military presence to fight the Gold Blood War with Liang, which had led to increased unrest by indigenous tribes. The ruling elite of Lissimo saw this as an affront to their loyalty to the empire, and the wealthy colony of Sari Mara begin the rebellion by expelling the Suran governor.
