Louis de Serazette is the Archduke and King of Rhionnin. Grandson of Theodore Serazette benefactor of Project Swift . Louis is a young ambitious and generous man that leads his people with kindness and excellent business and diplomatic acumen.
Louis became Archduke in the young age of 17 when is father, Alion died suddenly of a heart attack. Soon after the young Louis was vested Archduke of Rhionni and was given the hand of Princess Tessa d'Alderac, sister of the Holy Empress Lydia Radeken d'Alderac in marriage.
Louis, sees Rhionni as an almost indipendant Kingdom and although he does not wish to engage in armed conflict with the empire, he focuses his attention into doing his best to gain that indipendence. Taking over his father's extremely extended and well organized spy network and his grandfathers assets and strategic acquisitions, Louis is making sure that the crown will remain in debt to the Kingdom of Rhionni and that will heavily rely on it for its survival.
One of the greatest diplomatic victories of Louis was the New Rhionni Proclamation a document outlining that any new settlements and assets claimed and acquired by the Kingdom of Rhionnin in Nyria will not be taxed by the royal treasury and that all ships with any imports and exports coming from Nyrian colonies of the kingdom will not have to pass through the imperial custom houses. That alone, has given Louis an impressive advantage against all of the other Archdukes and helped him solidify his grip to the crown even more.
