Tranquility Worm

These tiny brown creatures live alongside the many monsters inside the Insia Plateau. However, compared to their monstrous neighbors they are relatively harmless. The danger comes from what usually lives around these creatures. However, once they're habitat is reached, it becomes a fairly safe area free of danger, as Tranquility Worms are harmless. These live deep inside the Insia Plateau and feed on sound. They absorb the various sounds around them and bury deep inside the stone chasm where they dump residual sound energy. As a result, the closer one gets to their habitat, the more difficult it is to hear anything. Eventually, there are no sounds whatsoever. Even someone that tries to speak or make sound will quickly get their sound taken away (and/or eaten) and the result will come out as incredibly muffled. Be prepared to have many Tranquility Worms on you if you decide to try and speak and/or make sound inside their habitat.
