Saux Stone (Empty)

A Saux that does not have a Macha in it. This is either bought because a magician wants to save money and do his own Spirit Fusion Ritual, or to be used as a cheaper, and less reliable magical battery.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

As part of a long rest, you may decide to channel your own magical energy into the stone. Using a 3rd level spell slot will grant the stone to be infused with a 1st level spell slot. A 4th level spell slot stores a 2nd level spell slot, and so on. Each individual stone can only hold up to a total of a 7th level spell slot. As part of a short rest, you may decide to take out the magical energy that's stored inside a stone, recovering whatever spell slot was infused in it. Taking more than necessary is dangerous however. For each spell slot higher than what you can currently have, you will take 3d12 force damage as your body becomes overfilled with raw magical energy.   For example: A level 5 wizard's highest spell slot level is 3. If they were to take out magical energy from a Saux Stone and it contains a level 5 spell, the wizard would immediately take 6d12 force damage.

Manufacturing process

At this stage, the Saux has only undergone two treatments. The first was being treated by the enchantment magicians, and then the smithy's carving/chiseling.
