Muret

A type of small parasite that is always seen with its protector, the Tower Shell. While very vulnerable on its own, it has very powerful magical abilities. Since it cannot move by itself, it relies on the Tower Shell to move for it and to shield it from various threats. As a type of compensation, it is the one that hunts, kills, and gives its pairing the food it needs, itself absorbing the nutrients it needs through the Tower Shell.
Paired with a Tower Shell, the Muret (magical Turret) can be very devastating when met on an expedition or village. Even though it is rarely seen with other pairs of its own kind, a single unit of these creatures can easily wreak havoc on a small town or village. The raw magical power that a Muret wields is baffling to the Pale Druids. Often there needs to be a small elite force of Silverleaf army Officers that deal with just a single one of these pairs. The silver lining of this problem is that one only needs to get rid of or kill the Muret. Once that is done, the Tower Shell is a lot easier to deal with and will often simply run away when it feels the Muret off its back.
