Macha

The created spirits that live inside the magical artifacts known as Saux. Created to make life easier for humanoids, most Macha are Demisent, only a few are Sent and are considered more powerful and valuable than demisents. Macha aren't considered humanoid, and thus are treated as objects in law, as well as in society. Most are used as simple helpers, though many sent go on to take a more military role because of their affinities with magic.

Naming Traditions

Many Macha start out with names that only have 3 letters. It's said that it was because it was a simple solution, and it was to help distinguish them from other humanoids.

History

The Macha Wizards invented Macha, and at first it was only Demisent. Then the third Macha was created and it ended up being different. A Sent. That Sent, like the other Demisent at the time, was left to freely roam as it pleased. However it eventually caused some trouble and unfortunately also got itself killed. Very soon afterwards, the second created Macha went berserk, and the first one fled for unknown reasons. The wizards wanted to fix the problem and found out that Macha remain stable if they are paired with a humanoid. So because of that, the laws of Macha came into effect to protect people and the Macha themselves as well. The first was never found, and the second was destroyed due to being unable to restore it.
