Acid Slime

Roaming the Insia plateau and deserts, it's very easy to spot and track since since it continuously leaves a slightly grooved path of semi-melted earth/rock behind wherever it goes. It seemingly never stops moving as it would likely keep melting and sinking into the ground if it did.
This highly acidic slime variant simply goes around the desert in search of anything that it might be able to melt down into its body. It continuously eats and gets bigger until it's big enough to divide itself, forming a new Acid Slime. Once formed, it goes it's own way and the two slimes likely never meet again. It is aggressive and will attack anything that it senses through the earth. It seems to prefer meat, but that might also be due to the fact that it rarely ever meets anything inorganic that actually moves around like creatures do. However there have been accounts where an Acid Slime and Living Geo have crossed paths before. According to the report, the Acid Slime did in fact engage it, but it's unclear whether it was the Living Geo that initiated the fight or not.
If one must hunt or kill it, staying out of its range is recommended since fighting it up close could result in loss of several if not all equipment.
