Jun-ho Ko (DJUN-HOHH CO.)

Mr. Jun-ho Ko (a.k.a. Jun)

"Will you, please, PLEASE, stop following me. Mom will be so mad."
Catching his sibling(s) following him in the dead of night again

Intro

Jun-ho Ko, nicknamed Jun, is a human smuggler/curator and a member of the The Bandoliers.

Born in the little desert village of Porrit, he is the older brother to Seung and Jeung-hui, and the eldest son of Nari. The Ko Family has never moved their residence from the village of Porrit, having found a true home in the little enclave in the deserts of Norhtern Ifeszan. After reaching a mere 20 years of age, Jun decided to leave home and follow a troupe of 'friends,' he had made in the shadier parts of a nearby village, Chantorros. His siblings took great ire in his going and his mother only worried greatly as to what her son was getting into. With time it showed that perhaps he knew what he had been doing, as small bits of money found their way back to his family after joining the mysterious group nearly a year later.

Description

Jun has been described in the past as a "hard headed weasel of a man," and members of the slimy crew he runs around with would describe him as more squirrely than weasel-y.

Appearance

Jun-ho stands at about 6'2" (188 cm,) with a slender build. He often wears his chest-length hair in a tight ponytail on the back of his head, and has a well-manicured face. An injury that he has on one of his arms seems to never be able to properly heal, and so a bandaged arm is a common sight with Jun-ho.

Personality

While he loves his family very much, he felt that he had much to prove and yearned for something more than the small provincial life of Porrit, and so he left when he was still quite young by Ogbian standards (inspiring perhaps his younger siblings in their life paths.) He tends to be very straightforward and does not like to ameliorate his words; and so harboring a heavy disdain for small talk as such.

Biography

After leaving home for good at 20, Jun took the open swathes of the Ifeszanian desert.

Relationships

Ko Family

Jun-ho may not admit openly/very often that he loves his family, but he does. He misses them deeply on his trips and dangerous escapades, but he knows that if he didn't do this that he would be miserable. The small town life was not for him, and he did not realize that wasn't really the calling of his siblings either until he had seen Seung performing at a tavern in the Peninsula of Coine a year or two after he left. He worries about his siblings being out in the world by themselves as they are, but he tries to bury that thought and place faith in them and believes that they know what they're doing.

The Bandoliers

A ragtag group of magical artifact and item smugglers, particularly adept at exporting them out of Ifeszan and into Oncol. The Bandoliers were founded in the late days of the Elven Age, and became more internationally reknowned when Lorren the Light stepped into control for the group and sped up their secret duties. It was only shortly before Jun's joining, that the group had switched their focus away from the theft of magical artifacts, to the dealing and trading of them in an effort to undermine the Grey Kingdom. Jun was impressionable when he was younger, and the strapping leader of the local division of their group on the Mayland Steppes was able to get Jun to join without much of a second thought (save the moments he remembered who he would be leaving behind.)

Lorren the Light

Blonde hair, bushy ash-grey eyebrows, a square jawline, piercing green eyes, and a jolly physique is not normally how one would start describing the leader of your thieves' band, but a large part of the reason that Jun was so easily swayed to join and leave with the Bandoliers was the cunning and handsome leader: Lorren the Light. A sorcerer of roguish origins, with a mottled past- spanning many more decades than Jun originally knew when he first met him. Having saved Jun's life on numerous occasions on their travels from the Peninsula of Coine to the main port city in Kessel, Jun considers Lorren his best friend.

Sampella Onyx

Sampella was Jun's longest lasting relationship, being someone he met early on in his days as a Bandolier. Going so far as to even haven gotten married to her in secret, and breaking off the marriage when his mother told him off for getting married behind her back. His rebound was a tall and devilishly handsome dragonborn, which resulted in a months long journey together through the Solemn Vows' Reef. What still nags Jun to this day however were Sampella's final words to him in front of his mother, so much so that he had them tattooed on his forearm.

Iraqni Fethyss

Having had a brief encounter (and a fling? it's hard to say what it was,) with the Sand Witch of the Ifeszanian Desert- Jun has had a palpable taste of wielding power over a nation. During one of his groups' attempts at getting a veritable number of cases of potions into Oncol, he was tasked with distracting inspectors of a ship The Bandoliers had commandeered, his main target to distract: Iraqni Fethyss. Not every day that you manage to capture and commandeer a ship belonging to one of the head political leaders of the world you live in. She did not seem stimmied by it in the moment, being a former pirate herself, and actually was more than happy to assist The Bandoliers in getting the potions to their contact on the coast of Kessel on Oncol.
