Origin: Takeo was a soldier sent to fight in the sundering about 500 years ago. He fought valiantly against the terrors of the abyss and led countless squadrons to victory. As a result he was one of the many given a noble title and became part of the Oldri house. He sat on the war council for 2 centuries and oversaw the construction of Shartai. He was preparing to retire from service with a number of commendations when he began to take interest in a number of strange occurrences in the North. Numerous Rot War surges and Raider attacks with strange factors, had plagued the region abnormally for months. He sent a battalion to investigate, intending to join them after finishing up some business but when he arrived at the fort they were to rally at he found it abandoned. No sign of the men, their gear, or any indication they had been there. He searched the surrounding country side to no avail. Confused, he returned to Shartai expecting to find them still there. Instead he found that all traces of the battalion had faded and they had been declared Killed in Action a week ago just outside the collapse. There were no details as to why or how they were there, only that they had been slain to the last man. They were gone without a trace. Just a day later he was offered an estate for his entire family name as reward for his service. Now he doesn't know who to trust. Situation: The old general claimed he would think the offer over after a brief respite from traditional duties. In reality he aims to investigate this matter himself. He researched history and arcane methods of concealment in the Sapphire temple and met an interesting youth named Norio who wished to accompany him. Suspicious but not wanting to draw attention to himself by declining, Takeo accepted the escort. When he returned he heard word of a village near the collapse going dark. He took it upon himself to investigate in an effort to uncover answers.
Personality: Takeo is grizzled, experienced, and wary of the normal. He has seen small snippets of evidence that point to a greater cause in a series of strange events and now he thinks that its either the world against him, or the people he trusts most.
