In the beginning

Long ago wars were fought in the cosmos. Bahamat from the Overworld and Tiamat from the Underworld fought for a long time. When they finally called a truce they landed on a lifeless expanse of dirt and looked around. This could be something! So these superior gods each created five dragon gods and set them lose saying "Build us a world full of life" and left them to their work.
Each of these dragon gods set to work and like their makers created a people to help them. Megadon the Red made the Dragonborn. Fenderfitch the Gold made the Spiderack. Pollytack the Brass made the gnoll. Icealapry the White made the Syrillian. Astrox the Silver made Wolven. Gilalefry the Blue made the Xing. Colibell the Bronze made the Tortle. Boralith the Copper made the Minotaur. Treselkan the Black made the Lizardfolk. Flowercroth the Green made the Aeriesta.
Spreading out across the world each continued their work, spreading water and life to the land. Their people thrived, giving life to forests, to animals, to vast grasslands, to the seas themselves. This was the first age... and when it ended suddenly under the deadly gaze of the Three-Eyed Terror Birds civilizations and peace had covered the world.
