Ezla Drogen
Ezla Drogen (a.k.a. Patch Scale)
One day, around the year 2160 a strange dragonborn wandered through the towns of Truskafar. Unlike most dragonborn who were two-toned at worst his scales had a patchwork of colors, all in the chromatic spectrum. He carried with him a powerful sword and claimed no memory of where he came from. After dealing with various bandits and trouble makers at the outskirts of the country word of his deeds and his odities reached the palace. He was invited, rather insistantly, to the capital where he was brought before king and court to make himself known.
Ezla humbled himself there, claiming to be paladin for Bahamat and that the sword was a gift from him. Showing himself to be a warrior with a nobel heart he was accepted into the court and dispatched to various places throughout the nation where he might be most useful. It was at court he caught the eye of the princess, Cortessa Drogen. This lead to misplaced jealousy from another oddbal, the court mage, Vortrex, for he already schemed to win her hand.
Elza continued to increase his reputations amid the court and peoples of Truskafar but soon found assassins coming after him. Not being of an investigative mind he recruited others to travel with him and determin the location of the threat and uncovered Votrex's plot not only against him but against the crown. The court mage had gathered forces and staged a coup, leading to the king's death and many of the court. He imprisoned the princess, hoping that if she agreed to marry him the people of Truskafar would accept him as king.
With allies of his own though Elza found ways to drive Vortex's forces out of the cities and made his way back into the castle. He broke princess Cortessa out of prison and together they defeated the mage. Unfortunatly he was able to escape.
Cortessa asked Elza to marry her and continue to protect the throne and he accepted, fathering three children with her, Lorien, Emeray and Lightning Drogen.
He kept his secrets to himself though, unawre that deep in the volcanic mountains on the eastern boarder of Truskafar, Vortrex was amassing both power and secrets. Including Ezla's... that though he has dedicated his life to Bahamat... he owes service to Tiamat and her battle with the abyss as well.
