Faraday Corporation
Faraday Corporation is owned and operated by the CEO known only as The Magician and headquartered in the Tower of Hades on planet Xezzura. The CEO’s true identity has long since been obscured and kept incredibly secret; even from the Faraday workforce and Tower of Hades security, Cerberus Corps. While Faraday is now a realm-spanning influence and technomagical powerhouse of the Plutus system, they had once modest beginnings.
In the beginning, the young magician on planet Xezzura specialized in creating protective wards and lucky charms. The Magician’s first customers were family and friends, and word spread about the efficacy of the devices so the business grew. Soon a shop opened and customers constantly filled the space. Eventually out-of-town orders were being mailed out and business was booming.
When the Magician decided to personally handle an out-of-town delivery to one of the larger cities, they discovered a whole new world of mechanics. The small village where it all started didn’t need any real machinery. However, upon laying eyes for the first time on a two-wheeled apparatus being ridden by a person, a whole new world opened up.
The Magician bought one of these simplistic bicycles and studied the mechanics, then temporarily closed the business until the secret of enhancing the mechanics with magic could be unlocked. When it finally happened, the Magician had created a momentum-enhanced bike, which allowed for faster speeds with less manual effort. They rushed to the city on the new creation.
That was the day Faraday Corporation was born. The magically enhanced devices spread throughout the globe with unbelievable speed. New devices were being created every day, new ways of life revolutionized overnight. The face of the planet literally changed as electromagical devices lit up the night sky and allowed for vastly superior construction methods.
The Magician returned to their original town and began new construction on the original shop, turning it into a small tower. As the cityscape grew, so did the tower. The Magician was keen on keeping the home of the Faraday Corporation, the tallest building on the planet. Eventually it was given the nickname of the Tower of Hades, a monument to greed and hubris, but the Magician kept its name and made it the official title.
