Thafahon

The Thafahon are a rare subgroup of Elves. They live scattered in small isolated towns and villages within Begfuhn Ríki. They were elves that once belonged to the Elves of Alrion, but fled their land about 300 years ago and settled far away. In order to survive, they quickly adapted to a life in the mountains, while remembering their heritage.

Major language groups and dialects

The major language spoken is Elvish, although young explorative elves learn dwarvish as well. As a result of this, the Elvish spoken by those that are younger than 200 years contains many words borrowed from dwarvish.

Shared customary codes and values

Elven heritage and magic are holy to most of the Thafahon. Items that have survived the migration are of great value to families and passed down when sons and daughters reach 100 years of age. It is expected of every elf to learn at least the basics of magic.
