The Multiverse

General

The current visual model of the Multiverse is the Everlasting Battle. The map is set up with good on the left, evil on the right, lawful at the bottom, and chaotic at the top. Each of these has its plane and are sounding the Prime Plane. Good's plane is the Heavens represented by a dragon. Evil's plane is the Nine Hells represented by a devil. Lawful's plane is the Shadowfell represented by a blackened mountain pointing down. Chaotic's plane is the Feywild represented by a mountain with flowers pointing up. The dragon and devil are locked in battle. The dragon is spraying a breath weapon while the devil is casting dark magics. The two magical energy streams meet in the middle, forming the Prime Plane (Lumenos). Above and below Lumenos, you can see the Eco Planes, represented by the mountains. Jumping off of this central meeting place are small dots that form the Lesser Planes and the Demi Planes.

The Greater Planes

The two Grater Planes are the homes of the gods. The Heavens and Hells are the only two locations that the divine can live. It is said that at the end of the Era of the Gods, Mayim and her followers were captured and imprisoned in the Nine Hells. Upon doing this, the rest of the divine then created the Gates of Hell to entrap Mayim inside forever. Creating a seal that even a god cannot break took a tremendous amount of power. As such, the divines were forced to retreat into the Heavens. Many of them still have not been heard from; however, most major divines have sent messengers or prophets to Lumenos. Each of the Greater Planes has many subdivisions within it.

The Heavens

The Heavens is more like a collection of floating islands, each inhabited by like minded divine. The largest of these islands belongs to Vulcan Lord of Fire and King of the Divine. He rules from the Sun Citadel located in the center of the Island of Sun. Lesser divine and those faithful to a divine will live on these islands as well. The lesser divines are given areas to guard and hold their faithful by the owners of each island.

The Hells

The Hells are divined into nine planes or levels. Each level has an Archdevil who lords over it. These Archdevils are functionally the same as lesser divine. In fact, many were lesser divine who sided with Mayim during the war. The nine levels hold all sorts of evil folk who have not had any other plane claim their soul.

Prime Plane

The Prime Plane is Lumenos. This plane is where the Federal Republic, Dwarvish Clans, and other nation states are. This plane is the only one where you can find law, chaos, good, and evil all intermixing. Each of these major forces has been trying to claim this plane for themselves, thereby giving them more power than the other three. As of yet, no one had been able to claim it. Evil was the closest during the Era of Humanity, however.

Eco Planes

The Eco Planes are exact copies of Lumenos. Every mountain, lake, and river is represented in the Ecos. The Eco Planes are the easiest to travel to from Lumenos since they are so close in the cosmology.

Feywild

The Feywild is a chaotic place where the rules of nature and time do not always apply. You are free to fly as high up as you want, but it is impossible to dig down more than six feet. It is also relatively easy to get lost in the Feywild. While you may have only been traveling for a day, you could find yourself clear across the world, and it could take months to get back to where you started. The Feywild is ruled by four courts. Each court is headed by an Archfey and has a very different political and social structures. One thing that is held in absolute regard in all the courts is a person's word. If you give someone your word, you are bound to fulfill it or face the united wrath of all four of the courts. None are sure why the courts have this agreement; however, all are sure of its validity. Hags, pixies, and Satyrs are all from this place.

Shadowfell

The Shadowfell is a place of law. While these laws may not be apparent to outsiders, those who live in this lightless place know each and every one of them by heart. Breaking a rule here results in unimaginable pain. The Shadowfell is ruled by monarchs. There are many different kingdoms and lands here. Each one waging lawful and deadly war with another. This land is seen as the home of Werewolves, Vampires, and Liches.

Lesser Planes

Scattering off of the Prime, Eco, and Greater planes are much smaller ones. While the existence of many Lesser Planes is theorized, only eight are known. To be a Lesser Plane a space must not be infant but still more extensive than a Demi Plane. Lesser Planes also, typically, have their inhabitants. Though these inhabitants can have died or left, and the plane still be a Lesser. The known Lesser Planes are:
  • Fire – A giant sea of fire. There are cities scattered around this plane built upon obsidian pillars. This plane is said to have been the home of Vulcan before he became the Lord of the Divine. Fire elementals, Azers, and Magmen are all inhabitance here.
  • Earth – The never ending expanses of rock and minerals. This plane is said to be the original home of Terrathal before they became the God of Earth and Land. Earth elementals, Zartans, and Khargra are all inhabitance here.
  • Air – Sometimes referred to as the all sky or the endless sky. Cities dot the plane built upon clouds. This plane is said to have been the home of Dalilu Hewa before she was killed. Air elementals, Wind walkers, and Invisible stalkers all inhabit this plane.
  • Water – This deep sea holds many secrets. It is said that every forgotten shipwreck will be drawn into the plane of water. Mayim is said to have lived here before she launched her attack on the divine. Water elementals, Sea Hags, and Aboleths are all inhabitance here.
  • Realm of Doors – A tall tower with doors and access to any plane in the Multiverse. A city surrounds this central tower. The city has every race within its walls, and it also has people from different times within them. All have forgotten who were the first inhabitance here, though almost every race claims to be.
  • Realm of Records – An endless library holding all the actions and deeds of every person to have lived. This plane is said to be the sight of the Divine Court or the place where Mayim and the Priestess of Death judge. Regardless of who owns this plane, you can find strange folk guarding and maintaining it and a written copy of every action you have taken.
  • Limbo – Nothing can be known of this place. It is ever changing and morphing. Cities are there at some points and gone in others. No two travelers have ever seen the same thing unless they traveled together.
  • The Abyss – A small collection of Archdevils were upset with the leadership of Mayim. Following the lost war and imprisonment, these Archdevils begged the divine to allow them to break away from Mayim and the Hells. This request was granted, and a new, less powerful, evil plane was created. Regrettably, this caused a massive war between the Hells and Abyss as the two try to conquer one another.
Each Lesser Plane's location denotes if it tends to be more lawful, chaotic, good, or evil. Planes that are to the far left tend towards good, while planes on the top tend towards chaos.

Demi Planes

These planes are relatively small, usually no larger than a continent. They tend to be quite unstable and can fade into nonexistence. Little is known about these planes other than you can create them through magical means and have them serve your will. There are some naturally occurring Demi Planes. However, little is known about why or how they are created.
