There exists a tiny speck in the Cosmos, barely there in its immensity. The oppressive force of such vastness nearly snuffs it out time and time again. But it lingers, like a wavering flame in a strong wind. This speck is called Croft, and it is where tiny beings Dream. Dreams have power here, and those who have Dreamt the deepest have held fragments of their infinite power. In the wake of the Last Year, there is fear that this Dream will end. It was once an obscure vision from the mind of something otherworldly, but the has folded into the waking world and became distorted, ushering in dubious concepts from the Nightmare.

The world of Lucidiette is a woven tapestry of Baroque and Dark Age influence, the remnants of great Gothic cathedrals, wheel-lock firearms, and dancing blades all painting a portrait of a beautiful, crumbling world.
