Ascension is a state achieved by becoming untied from the gravity of time & space - earning an understanding of a Worldly force which grants the capability to harness it & dismissing the natural pull of The Void on one's Soul toward The Inevitable through the sheer force of their Willpower. Recognized by their gravity on the Arcane forces of the world, Ascendant beings are often thrust, willingly or unwillingly, into their matters & see themselves used as unwitting players in the greater game of fate.  
To become Ascendant, one must first come to a complete understanding of a Worldly Energy & become capable of harnessing its magnificent power.   The path to Ascension is a complicated one, with a vast array of branches & opportunities, each of them representative of the greater Feuds of the Arcane - but the rewards for Ascension abound.   Granted the capability of crafting Metaphysical laws, Ascendant beings can twist their magic into the mechanics of the game world, altering gameplay for themselves & their cults in ways that drastically change the way roleplay & Feuds are carried out with them.  
  • Manipulate the mechanics of Feuds in territories you control, which Favour your presence, or when defending against others.
  • Create a Cult that comprises both NPC's & Players which Favour your presence & may join a Court of the Arcane, further engaging with the Game of Fate.
  • Expend your power to craft & use Ascendant shapes.
 

The Great Blade of The Arcane

  Ascension grants the immediate & excruciating attention of the Arcane who value Fate, seeking out the power which each new Ascendant force may grant to their interests. Engaged in a Feud for control of the The Root World, the Arcane which seek the Favour of Fate themself endlessly engage themselves in an existential conflict that plays out in the politics, duels & worlds of the Greater Arcana & their courts.   Among this Game of Fate the Ascendant plays a pivotal role, carrying out the Worldly interests of their patrons or themselves.  
The Ascendant are granted Premonitions directly from the Lesser Arcana of the Arcane Court to which they belong, or carry out their own path towards further Ascension into the Arcane & recognition by Fate.  
  • Earn Ascension through Favor with a Greater Arcane entity.
  • Participate in The Game of Fate's Feuds as a Blade in service to the Lesser Arcana.
  • Create more Bonds for greater Unity which will earn you the right to create your own Arcane Court.
 

Drifter Gods

  Unbound by ties that bind them to the Arcane, the Drifter gods of the Ascendant are some of the most feared creatures throughout existence. Wildcards who refuse the pull of any force but their own, the lone wanderers of Fate rarely remain tied to a place or person for long, shifting their loyalties & intentions as they undergo their Evolution throughout existence - but shards soon form together in their paths.  
Those Ascendant unbound to a Arcane Court exist with their Strand tied only to Fate. Granted the Drifter ethnicity, these deities will experience Premonitions granted by Fate themself & eventually found Courts of The Arcane when seven members of their Cult earn Ascension.  
  • Gain the Drifter ethnicity.
  • Freelance between the Arcane Courts participating in the Game of Fate's Feuds.
  • Lead your Cult to Ascension to earn Favor through recognition by Fate & an Arcane Title crafted to your mechanics.
  • Engage in Feuds with other Drifter deities to earn Ascension for your Cult.
 

Secretive Gods

  Voracious entities which bathe in the Mysterium of the world, Secretive gods veil their every step in the shrouds they wear. Born under The Greater Shroud, their Authority over Influence allows them access to a vast array of ever evolving Magics & Shapes. Bonded in their service to The Court of Shrouds, the Secretive gods of the world carry out their tasks across the Worldly planes, crafting the world in their image.  
Those Ascendant who choose to serve Influence find themselves bound to a Mythos of Aurum which both grants Secrecy to all articles they create and allows it to manifest itself anywhere on a Worldly plane, but may swallow their Memories at will.  
  • Earn Ascension through Favor by The New Krow
  • Gain the Voracious trait.
  • Serve The Court of Shrouds in the Game of Fate.
  • Craft the Gauntlet of the New World by writing the challenges that the Kindred face on Earth.
  • Leverage the NPCs of the world through your Authority over Influence.
  • Consume even the gods by unleashing your Cult to unravel their Willpower through attrition.
Failure to maintain your Favor with The New Krow will result in your Memories being consumed by the Mythos of Aurum.
