Draho Ownership Manifesto
At a person's birth, they belong to their parents. The parents may sell their child to another person, passing over their guardianship. Many parents give their children over to schools, who would educate them. When a child reaches maturity (age 18), they are sold by their current owner to the country. Being owned by the country is the highest level of freedom a person can reach. If a person commits a crime upon a person's private property, the person becomes owned by that person. People are killed if they commit a crime on public property. If a person has committed a crime on two different people's private property, the two who have the rights to the people may discuss it amongst themselves. Any prisoners of war are transferred to the ownership of their captor. If a person is owned by another, they must obey any command unless the command permits the breaking of the law. For the purposes of ownership, married couples count as one person. All transactions must have a contract accompanying them.
