Lircia
Trade & Industry
Lircia is crucial to the trade of Kamorda and Oistinis, as it controls one entry into the Ferozabay. Lircia's economy is therefore largely based on trade and transportation, acting as a hub for the movement of goods from the bay into the entire world. After the War of Fate, while trade was slowly recovering, Lircia focused on diversifying their industry while rebuilding the city. They noticed that after such a devastating war, many people craved for some light and calmness in their lives. What started as a small recreational industry for the locals quickly developed into a tourist destination for wealthy people from all over the place. Today, while trade is still an important pillar for the city, most of their industry is focused on tourism and recreational activities. The beautiful white beaches are the perfect backdrop for the wealthy to enjoy their time away from home. Many of the locals sadly no longer have the means to enjoy these activities themselves, and are forced into working for just enough to survive, while a few wealthy families hold most of the money that comes into the city.Infrastructure & Architecture
I was blown away by Lircia on my first visit. The city is so incredible, with all this ancient elven stuff mixed in with modern markets and ports. And the locals are super friendly, made me feel right at home. Can't wait to come back and check out more of this place.Despite its modern role as a hub of trade and commerce, Lircia also has a rich history dating back far into the Age of Arcanum. The city is home to ancient elven architecture, created by the Elves of Boradrin. To this day, they are a testament to a culture that once thrived in this region, but has vanished a long time ago.
The Crystal Spire
One of the most famous landmarks in Lircia is the Crystal Spire, a tall, slender tower that stands at the center of the city. It is made of gleaming white stone that seems to shimmer in the sunlight and is topped with a spire of crystal that reflects the colors of the surrounding sky. The tower is an ancient building, constructured by the Elves of Boradrin thausands of years ago, and the only elven building that survived the War of Fate unscathed. It has stood the test of time and has become a symbol of the city's history and cultural heritage.
The Glass Market
The Glass Market is a sprawling outdoor marketplace around the Crystal Spire. It is a bustling, vibrant place, filled with stalls and shops selling everything from fresh produce and seafood to handmade crafts and exotic goods from far-off lands. The market is surrounded my countless little restaurants and cafes, where visitors can enjoy a variety of local specialities and international cuisines.
