Even before deciding on the species of your character, we have to decide on which culture they are from. In this world, there are a few cultures dominated by one species, but most of the time the different species have lived together for hundreds of years now. Choosing a culture is one of the most important steps in creating your character. It defines where they came from and who their people are. It defines what influenced them very early on in their life and formed them into the person they are today.   Non of the cultures described below are monolithic. All of them include different people and different subcultures, all united by similar ideals, values and circumstances. The descriptions provided here, should give you a basic understanding of the respective cultures. If you want to dive deeper, there are links provided.
The Kingdom of Abonaria
During the War of Fate, the Lekerian Empire was destroyed. The Noble Family managed to escape the destruction of their capital city, and reformed the country together with the remains of the Dominion of the Snowy Mountains in the north.
The Rebulic of Estaria
The Seafarer of the Golden Coast
The people of the Golden Coast are a loose collection of seafarers, traders and pirates. The rich control the trade and get richer and richer, while the poor are forced into crime and piracy, while barely being able to scrape by. People at the Golden Coast believe in individuality and selfsufficiency.
The Meisian Empire
The Meisian Empire was founded during the War of Fate, as a last ditch effort for the Southern Kingdoms to survive. Their faith in Mialdir unites them, even through their different histories and cultures. Mialdir protected them all during the worst war in history, and they are eternally grateful for that.
The Clans of Dracari
The direct descendents of the Everlasting Empire of the Dragon, still hold on to their once great history. The Dragonborn of Dracari,
The Citystate of Kamorda
The Crime Syndicates of Krades
Law and Order doesn't exist in Krades. The whole city is ruled by Crime Families and Syndicates. This is probably the most dangerous city on the whole continent. You are either ruthless and climb withing the ranks of the families, or you learn how to keep a low profile and survive on your own.
The Bitter North
A harsh and unforgiving place. Small pockets of civilisation hold on to their dear life in a cold and inhospitable landscape. The Bitter North usually keeps to their own and is distrustful to outsiders, but they value loyality, family and friendship above anything else. In such an environment, you always need people to rely on.
