Primus

Primordial force of Order

The ruler of Mechanus is a being of complete order and structure. Nothing Primus ever does is random or spontaneous. In fact, it is always the result of specific causes that produce the effects they convey. They are a Primordial representing the direction of order within Realmspace.   Because of their pure logic, Primus is sometimes called on to settle disputes as they can be guaranteed to be objective. However, sometimes their logical conclusion is that there is no one solution and thus, that is the verdict they will give.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Those who want a symbol for Primus usually use two cogwheels, one large and one small. Primus itself sees little value in such symbolism but approves of it as a logical simplified representation.   There is no distinct church that serves Primus, but there are plenty of devotees. These tend to wear very simple, utilitarian, clothes with the cogwheels embroidered prominently on them.

Physical Description

Body Features

Primus mostly appears as an androgynous humanoid shape with translucent skin, under which are an infinitely complex series of cogs and other machinery. Its features are constantly being built and rebuilt as needed.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Primus appeared as a result of Realmspace expanding outwards and pushing order to one side and chaos to the other. While no being could be permanently created to represent the chaotic forces, Primus was built by the shifts in reality. This happened fairly early on, possibly even before the Dawn War, but they didn't engage in the activities of anyone else.   It is thought that the First Breaking damaged Primus in some way and pieces of it broke off. It might have repaired itself since then, but even so, there might be pieces of pure logic spread throughout Realmspace.

Morality & Philosophy

In every way possible, Primus is impartial and absolute logic. This can be frustrating for anyone having to deal with them, but changing seems very illogical to them. Good and evil are irrelevant concepts - both are subject to the same laws of cause and effect.

Social

Contacts & Relations

For the most part, Primus has a very neutral relationship with everyone. However,it struggles with the chaotic nature of demons, Gruumsh, and Tyche. In its mind, they are malfunctioning and should be corrected. It understands the need for balance between itself and chaos, but random forces make it hard for it to calculate what influence is correct and thus, it tries to err on the side of structure.
