Harnan Raanin
Harnan grew up in Ma'channi but moved to Fort Karachmi for a while before moving back. This part of his life led to him believing that one has to make deals with the darkness in order to profit. Fighting it is futile.
He championed the people of his hometown to have House Rasheed name him Elder and in charge of Ma'channi. He has been on this post until very recently. It was uncovered that he had made deals with an Illithid in order to protect himself and after a short trial he was executed for treason.
