Gilded Spear

While the existence of this order has long since ceased to be a proper secret, its members don't advertise their allegiance too much. This is to allow them to move more freely and seek out evil wherever they might find it.
Some of the enemies of the Gilded Spear are obvious: devils, demons, and other fiends. But they also watch out for any unnatural influence on those who rule and worshippers of deities tho want to oppress. Most of the time they accept those who have gained power through recognized means, but they do try to infiltrate in order to push towards policies that are fair but watchful for the influence of extra-planar entities.

Structure

The Inner Circle consists of 11 members around the world, but their identities are kept secret in order to protect them. However, they are likely powerful spellcasters of some kind. In turn, they direct the various large regions, typically the size of minor nations or sections of large ones. Really big cities have their own cells that operate under the regional cell but with a lot of autonomy. In fact, the regional overseer is probably a member of the most important cell within their area.

Public Agenda

Most people don't know anything about the complex movements that include the Spear, but for those who take an interest, it isn't hard to know they general agenda. Finding members is a lot harder as initiates won't know about more than one or two and even full Spears might not know the actual name of everyone in their cell. Recruitment is selective, but the doors membership can open are significant.
