Afsoon Rasheed
As the Qel'tath of his House, Afsoon is a skilled diplomat and negotiator. Rashi Principality might not be the richest area, but Afsoon and his mother, the former Qel'tath Saitze Rasheed, before him have forged many favourable trade agreements. This has made him very popular amongst his subjects.
There are constant rumours of the Rasheed family being affected by those Burnt during the Sunrise. Some even say that unnatural flares still exist under their palace in Mahi'Jathu, feeding the family. However, none of the nobles have shown any visible signs of affliction during the many centuries since the alleged incident.

Afsoon was born to Saitze and Itchai Rasheed on a stormy summer's night - something taken as an omen that Ariel was looking out for him. His mothers involved him in matters of the Principality from an early age and he was given adult responsibilities, and expectations, early.
Itchai died when Afsoon was 15, but he also understood how important it was that he showed strength during this difficulty. Saitze took a consort a year later and would possibly have married him had she not, herself, died in a sudden and unexplainable illness another two years later. This led to Afsoon taking up the mantle as Qel'tath soon after his 20th birthday.
Education
On top of his very dedicated learning when it comes to matters of history, religion, and diplomacy; Afsoon theoretically has a military education. He hasn't shown much interest in it and considering he leaves such matters to his wife Atina Rasheed, it is likely not his strongest skill. What Afsoon does have is his charm, a sharp wit, and the knowledge from every book in his palace.

Family Ties
Afsoon met Atina during trade negotiations with House Leenet and fell for her soon after. She completes him by being the physical and forceful person that doesn't come natural for him. The two married once Atina fell for Afsoon as a person and not just his Principality.
Farzin and Afsoon met when they were both young, as Farzin was apprentice to the House's Master Seneschal. The two of them became close friends, then more, and eventually married.
