Hall of Justice
Purpose / Function
This building was a courthouse, which had the main purpose of being a building in which judges would make judgements on criminal cases. It had many justices that served in it over the years, and resulted in many cases gaining a full conclusion that tehy otherwise would not have gotten. It was, as its name implies, a house of justice.
Architecture
It is a huge stone building, approximately 200 x 300ft in width and length. It is primarily constructed from marble, concrete, and detailed with tile, stained glass, and clay sculpture. It is incredibly ornate, with massive pillars that stretch from the bottom to the top carved from marble that are positioned every ten feet on the front side of the building. It has a domed roof which is painted to be a shimmery golden color, and most of its windows are tinted gray with patterns of darker colors to accentuate it.
History
It was first created hundreds of years ago as a small law building, but grew quickly until it was the Hall of Justice for the entire southern portion of Ocharial. It had many justices, and most were good and noble people with the best interests of the public in mind. One day, however, in a completely normal court case, the decision was made to sentence Adra Poroi to death on numerous charges. Little did they know, he was the mentor of the Masked Thief, who became so enraged over this fact that he made it his mission to destroy the building once and for all. This was made successful in 989AL, when he launched an attack on the building, ruining it entirely and killing most people within it.
Tourism
It was destroyed, burned down and blown up by the Masked Thief, and is now a moderately popular tourist destination to those who wish to see the site of his greatest accomplishments. Most come simply to see the building itself, and the ruins that are left behind after the attack.
