King's End

  • A mist covered landscape said to be cursed from a bloody war long since past.

Bracken Mines

  • A mining town.
  • Main exports are rubies and quicksilver.

Ruby Lyon

  • A skyship owned by Captain Mairen.
  • Bubbly, Falafel and Angelina sailed the skies to Amorin to find the Cinereal Lyceum
  • Here they met Captain Mairen and were attacked by dark creatures called Sindrids

Amorin

  • The capital of Weiria
  • It is home to the Scrolls, the governing body of Weiria
  • Much of the aristocracy lives in Amorin as well
  • It is an industrial city with black smoke that covered the horizon
  • Legend has it that the mountain that looms over Amorin is home to many sacred sights, one of which is the home of the Lady.

Cinereal Lyceum

  • A great library located within Amorin.
  • It is said to have been built by the first king of Weiria, the Boyking.
  • It houses nearly every literary, cartographic and historical work in the known world. It is second to only the Marble Halls in Orinsown.
  • It is run by Mesani, the Mistress of Contents

Flawed Spinel

  • A tavern in the lower city. It is comfortable enough though it would never be considered luxurious by any means.

  • She is a wealthy woman who claims to be the daughter of the Last King, Elena.
  • She wears only the finest garments of velvet and spun gold. Her hair is braided into an elaborate pattern with jewels from all across the land.

Mesani

  • Head Mistress of the Cinereal Lyceum
  • She is a brown-haired woman who takes her job as the preserver of the lyceum very seriously.
  • She wears the blue and green robes of a lyceum employee.
  • You retrieved an ancient map for her in exchange for a writ to enter the lyceum.

Tessi

  • A soft-spoken librarian who seems to be perma-stoned
  • She loves books more than anything else and has it in her head that she will read all the books in the lyceum before she dies.
  • She led you to the Last Dawn of Kings and the Annals of the Mantle of Kings.

Gelena

  • She owns Gelena's Topography.
  • She is an old woman who's crooked back forces her to be permanently hunched over.
  • She draws map with great spectacles that make her eyes 10x their normal size (which are very small... like raisin-size)

Arin

  • A boy of 20 who has become the Master of the Red Hawk
  • He shunted his duty to rule his House but ultimately resigned to his fate of political theater.
  • He has Kingsblood in him
  • He is on the fence about believing you that he has Kingsblood, and even if he did he wouldn't want the post of king

Arkin

  • A tall man, with salt and pepper hair and a close-cropped beard. He has brilliant blue eyes which is uncommon in this region of Weiria.
  • Arin's father and Stormbearer to the Scrolls of Nine
  • From what you know, he is an honorable man who takes his duty to his kingdom seriously
  • He has Kingsblood
  • He has asked for a meeting with Angelina to hear more of what she has to say

Sanda

  • Arkin's wife and the Lady of the House of the Red Hawk
  • She is a thin woman with a slender face and kind eyes.

  • A member of the House of the Red Hawk
  • She is Arin's distant cousin

Books Read & Their Contents

The Tomb of the Last King

  • The inscription on Elen's tomb reads, "Those who take the crown unjustly will have on their heads a great and terrible curse. For all that lives in darkness will be drawn to them and even in death they will never know peace."

The Last Dawn of Kings

Volume I

  • This volume was written during Elena's rule and details the events which led up to her death.
  • It talks of a young child named Hamen who was supposed to be king, but when his parents, the King and Queen of Weiria, his cousin, Taventus, rose to the throne
  • Taventus held onto his power and hid the truth of Hamen's lineage.
  • Taventus tricked Hamen into binding himself to him as a royal guard
  • Hamen grew up, took a wife and had a baby
  • A sympathizer, a man from the House of the Red Hawk, came to Hamen and told him of Taventus' plot to assassinate Hamen's child because of Hamen's true ancestry.
  • Furious, Hamen confronted Taventus and demanded he step down from the thrown
  • Hamen was cursed for breaking his vows as a royal guard and forced to protect King's End for the rest of enternity.

Volume II

  • Taventus began wars all across his borders, killing million and earning him the name of Taventus the Destroyer
  • After his mysterious death, he was succeeded by his daughter Elena.
  • After her rule ended, she sealed the Mantle of Kings away with her and transferred power to the Scroll so they could rule with the voice of the people.

Annals of the Mantle of Kings

  • The Mantle of Kings is what is called a curseband
  • It has the power to give and to break a curse
  • Its power can only be wielded by one with king's blood who has been anointed by the Lady on the Gilded Moon.

Lore & Mythology

Weiria

  • Piladia: Also referred to as the Lady or the Wolf Mother, Piladia is the patron deity of Weiria. It is said she lives at the sacred sight atop the mountain, but she hasn't shown herself to the people in a Millenia.
  • The Undying Covenant: a pact between the Kings of Weiria and the Piladia. In return for their undying faith, she protects them from all danger. This covenant was struck by the Boyking in the 2nd Moon.
  • The Undying Covenant was supposedly transferred from the king to the Scrolls.
