Merchant Princes of Va 'Navir

60 years ago the monarchy which ruled over Va 'Navir was overthrown by lowly merchants. These merchants weren't even a part of the empire, but bought their way in from across the Gilded Sea. They build sprawling companies, pushing the economy to new heights. They invested in everything from trade to technological advancements, machines of war to agricultural innovations. They led to the Ruby Age in Va 'Navir, but their motives eventually showed through their porcelain makeup.
With new advancements in weaponry, 6 merchant lords staged a coup de tat. Cannons and heavy artillery fell upon the modest castle of Tel 'Rok, shattering it to pieces. The merchant lords then became merchant princes, divining the king's crown into 6 pieces amongst themselves. Much time has b=past since then, and a growing unrest builds in the underbellies of even the most fortified of their cities.
