Dragon Leather

Dragon leather is not leather made from Dragons. It is named such because the specific processing of the leather is only used for Dragon Rider's Flight Suits
The leather of the Giant Pangolin is specially treated with the juice of the coral-colored, under-ripe peppers of the Pepper Cactus. This makes it especially resistant to decay and fire, particularly the kind of rot that happens when the leather absorbs a lot of sweat.
Because this process takes several years to do properly, the leather is only used for Dragon Riders. Occassionally, a wealthy person will add an unusable scrap of the leather as a broach or other statement accessory.
